Mateo Kruljac was born and raised in the greater Phoenix area. His love for dogs all started with his mother, Mary. Since before Mateo was born, Mary would foster shelter dogs until they received a loving home. Mateo had the pleasure interacting with dogs as well as helping take care of them. When Mateo was five years old, he was given one of these rescue dogs as an eight-week-old puppy, Foxy. The dog became Mateo’s full responsibility. His entire childhood was filled with learning about different breeds and temperaments. As he grew up, Mateo realized his love for dogs was an undeniable bond that was ingrained into him.

Mateo discovered Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team through a friend who had been a past client. They ran into each other at the park when Mateo was attempting to train his Siberian Husky puppy, Onyx. She observed how happy he was and the hard work he was putting into training Onyx. She told Mateo he would be an outstanding dog trainer and told him to apply to Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team. He was instantly hooked after he had watched some of the training videos online.

Making a positive difference in the lives of animals has been an integral part of Mateo’s life, but he was always looking for something to take it to the next level. Training for Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team has fulfilled this desire beyond his imagination, but he will never stop saving dogs. After listening to Lorenzo Miller converse about dog behavior and training, Mateo knew he had found his calling and would train dogs for the rest of his life.

Mateo’s goal is to become a Master Trainer with Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team company and open a new market where he is able to build his own team of trainers. By doing so Mateo will be able to help more dogs than he ever thought possible.
