BRET RAMSEY'S BACKGROUND
Bret was born in Cleburne, Texas, just south of Fort Worth. He has been surrounded by dogs since early childhood, through his immediate family, as well as his extended family. Every time he turned around, there were dogs, even on vacations. Bret credits his parents for teaching him to love and respect animals.
While working in the hospitality industry for 15 years, Bret traveled extensively in the United States, as well as abroad. He lived and worked in Amsterdam, Netherlands for 3½ years, then in London and Manchester, England. After returning to the United States, Bret decided to pursue a career working with dogs. After studying animal behavior and dog obedience training, he worked for several different dog training operations, but they were unsatisfying, and frankly, they did not work!
